What we do
Rit Designs Leeds is based in Rothwell Leeds and was established in 2002. Running a fully equipt workshop we have the capabilities to manufacture small and large items. Here we specialise in cabinet making, bespoke joinery manufacturing and pattern making. We also offer a growing range of wooden homewares and wooden gifts from chopping boards to a personalised family tree which you can find on our online shop. If you are looking for something unique and individual we can make a bespoke piece to fit your specific requirements.

Rit Designs Leeds produces a wide range of quality wooden products. Ranging from items for the kitchen such as rolling pins and chopping boards to products for dining, such as placemats and wooden coasters, wooden egg cups and toast racks, along with blackboards, wooden gifts Leeds and toys which are ideal for weddings, Christmas, birthdays and any other special occasion. Wood and wood products are at the heart of our business. All our cabinetry is made from solid wood and manmade boards, and we go to great lengths to make sure these are legally and responsibly sourced. Through sourcing timber responsibly, we can have a positive influence, protecting forests and the communities that depend on them.
Our sourcing
We know where the materials for your projects come from. Every piece of your project comes from suppliers who have traceable, ethical practices.
We do not source timber for any of our products that have been:
● Illegally harvested;
● Harvested in violation of traditional and human rights;
● Harvested in forests in which high conservation values are threatened by management activities;
● Harvested in forests being converted to plantations or non-forest use;
Where does our wood come from?
We source all our hardwoods and softwoods from Arnold Laver in Leeds and all our boards (plywood, MDF and chipboard from Lawcris Panel Products also in Leeds
How is the wood traced?
Our suppliers disclose the whole timber supply chain - from the forests where the trees have been harvested to the saw mills used to process the wood. In addition, with each shipment of product, suppliers are provided with documentation showing details of all the timber used. Arnold Laver and Lawcris, have Chain of Custody implemented, independently evaluated and certified to provide their customers with environmental assurances.
